17th April 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 18 knots Surf / Sea State: 1-2 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 9ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Mainly Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: A bit of a nightmare to start with. Got to the beach early and rigged my 5.7m but pulled the built in pulley off as I did so so had to walk all the way home again to get another sail... My old 5.7m with some duct tape holding it together. Got out on the water with that but there wasn't enough wind. Strange really as there was definitely enough wind on land, with gusts up to 27 knots. However, 5.7m wasn't enough on the water so I came back in and changed up to my 6.7m. Now well powered up I had a good blast back and forth for a while. BEFS was out too to start with and I assume he went back out again later. |
